| | Model of the car: | Chevy Lumina 3.1l Coupe | | | General comments: | This car is great. I was driving a '95 Cobra before I got this car and it was a bit of a downgrade in the speed department. But this Lumina has to be one of the easiest cars to work on. The water pump is very accessible from the top and I was able to replace that myself. The spark plugs are not as accessible, you have to rotate the engine forward to get at them--but I probably won't have to replace them before I have to replace the car itself. It currently has 150000 miles on it and I expect to get another 100000 miles out of it. Great car for small family and great car for a novice mechanic. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Spark plug location, bad control relay, sun faded |
