| | Model of the car: | Lumina Euro Sedan | | | General comments: | My parents had problems with this Lumina a few months after they bought it (2nd owners, I am the 3rd) from my grand parents. It would go for about 8 miles then die. So they parked it in the yard for 6 months at a time, drove it, it died, parked it again. Well about a month before my 16th birth day they tryed to start it, dead battery. They replaced that, but it would still die, while trying to fix the problem my dad replaced everythin from the spark plugs to the starter. Somehow he got it running. She has only died on me once, but started up 5 minutes later and has never treated me wrong again. The funny thing is the Tachometer malfunctioned and has given me multiplyed (2x) read outs. Let me put it this way, I idle at 1400 and have reached over 8500 (red it at 5500). I like my car. because it is LOUD! But I need a better car so I am looking into a z-34 with a 3.8L or a Nova w | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | The brakes. The rear calipers don't work. My dad and I were rotating the tires and notice that the rear rotors were all rust no shine, we looked on the inside of the roter and it was shiny. ony the inside pad was hitting but even it was at an angle.
