| | Model of the car: | Lumina LS 3.4 DOHC | | | General comments: | I bought it used with 64,444 miles on it. I currently have about 72,598 on it. In the three years that I have had it I have had to replace:1. Power Steering Pump2. Altenator3. Front rotors, brake pads4. Rear wheel cyl.5. AC Compressor, Evaporator Core, Lines6. Battery Granted I bought it used, but the first 2 items went within 3 months of buying it, and the dealer said all this stuff was checked.Right now I have a clicking noise some place by the front tires but I can't determine where it is at. I am currently looking to sell as soon as possible. I have other friends that have had older models of the Lumina, and we have all experienced the same problems with them. I bought this car for like a little under $10,000 and have already put over $2,500 in repairs in it.Would I recommend it? Well I see that chevy no longer makes them, and I would stay away from the used ones. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Brakes, Brakes, Brakes. Had to replace numerous parts of other subsystems in the car. See below for details. Gas mileage is bad. I get about 12 to 13 MPG in the City.
