| | Model of the car: | Lumina LS | | | General comments: | Love the engine in this car. The 3.4L dohc is FANTASTIC! Transmission has been great too. 92,000 miles and five years so far and I haven't had a single mechanical problem with the engine or transmission yet. I haven't even changed the battery. The repair history of this car since Feb. 1995 is as follows:Passenger side power door lock wouldn't open. Fixed under warrantyDriver side power window came off track. Cost $92Drivers side power window switch stopped lighting up at night. Cost $86That's it. That's five years worth of repairs. Of course I did regular maintenance such as oil changes every 5000 miles changed the sparkplugs and belt once at 70,000 miles and coolant flush at 80,000 miles finally a transmission fluid change at 90,000 miles.Still runs like new. Amazing. Just wish it looked better. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Brakes suck. Always have. They make a lot of noise (squeaking and squealing) and don't stop very well. I've had them checked out a couple of times but nothing is wrong. They're just like that |
