Lumina Ls
| | Model of the car: | Lumina Ls | | | General comments: | Overall, the car is all right. The 3.1 and 3.4 have a very bad problem with the intake manifold gaskets. They tend to leak antifreeze at 100,000 miles. Replacing the manifold gasket costs between $600 - $700 dollars each time it needs replaced. Chevy knows about the problem but will do nothing to help. One dealership said they fix 3 cars a week with manifold gaset problems. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | manifold gaskets, o rings tend to leak oil, altenators are weak, brakes do not last | | | Previous car: | 88 Berretta 2.8 mpi, 90 buick century |
