| | Model of the car: | Lumina LS | | | General comments: | I bought this car new in 96', it now has 85,000 miles. I have had the front brakes replaced, the head gasket blew shortly after the warrenty expired, replaced the brake vacuum booster, the battery, and it is on it's third set of OE tires, goodyear eagle GA'S. Overall, this has been a good solid, reliable car, BUT NOT ENTIRELY TROUBLE FREE. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | The brakes, dusty on front rims, very noisy, expecially when it sits a few days when it has been raining. The brakes locked up going down my driveway, layed black rubber over 50 feet before unlocking. Front pads wear out, rear drums need cleaning. When tank is below a quarter tank, parked on a angle will not start. | | | Previous car: | Chevy cavilier, plymouth horizon, chevy chevette (junk from hell), etc. Now also own a Toyota tacoma-excellent. |
