| | Model of the car: | Chevrolet Lumina | | | General comments: | I bought a new 1997 Chevy Lumina and the sticker was $17,637.I paid $15,157 after negotiating. Although this was back in 1997, I thought that the look of this car was really out dated compared to other models. (Im even surprised that Chevrolet hasn't changed it by now).But after being convinced by my wife, I got it. The first seven months of taking delivery, this car was pretty impressive for what I paid. But all good things come to an end loll! Nearing the end to the 8 months, I noticed that the engine was becoming noisier. I take good care of my cars, and the engine was loud. The brakes as well. Apart from them being squeaky, there reeeeally something =( ! The interior space of this vehicle is very tight. My Taurus has more room as far as interior and trunk space is concerned. I cant recommend this car to people who want a roomy mid-sized car or a nice looking car. If your willing to pay more, you should look at other models from Toyota,Ford,VW, or Volvo. I do however realize that some families budgets are tight.
